The Babylon Dance Band plays Armando's Palace

Shortly after the BDB's first trip to New York to play at the Peppermint Lounge and Trax, w played a gig at a slick Louisville venue as much nightclub as rock club. It was to promote the release of New Accounts, an EP to which the BDB contributed "My Friend Roger." The year is 1982. The entire set is from an unknown taper (please step forward!) and photos are by Ken Flaherty.

We began by reaching out to overseas MySpace bands that had befriended us to send a photo or several of the practice space they use. Across differences in geography, culture and musical approach, one thing is common to all -- you got to have a rehearsal space.
